Workshop Description: How do you convey ideas in a book? Great ideas should be readable. A book's readability impacts sales. Writers invite their readers to take a journey with them and they pave the road with words and ideas. A writer needs a road map that clearly charts his/her direction. If a minefield of grammar usage and mechanics errors distracts and confuses the reader, the writer has failed to provide an unobstructed route to his/her destination. Consequently, an author could potentially lose a large percentage of his/her reading audience, simply because the reader has to struggle to extract meaning from the text. As your "minesweepers", editors can help you to maintain your audience and take readers to your destination. Edit! Edit! Edit!
